Confirming the Product and Printing Area
Platvex Plasticware supports printing and decoration for compatible plastic plates, bowls and related plasticware supplied to importers, distributors, brands and private label buyers. Printing requirements are reviewed against the selected model, material, surface and order quantity before quotation.
A design that works on a flat plate may need adjustment for a curved bowl or compartment tray. Rim width, surface texture and changes in depth can restrict artwork placement. Please identify whether the design belongs on the center, rim, exterior or underside. Food-contact areas require separate suitability review; decoration should not be assumed suitable for every location.
Reviewing Artwork Before Sampling
Please provide vector artwork where available, together with the intended print dimensions, placement reference and color requirements. Small lettering, fine lines and closely spaced details need review at their actual printed size.
Artwork confirmation should cover orientation, distance from the rim, logo proportions and the relationship between the design and the product shape. For a design printed across several models, each layout should be checked separately rather than scaled automatically.
Our Custom Logo & Printing page explains the information needed to review a branded order.
Selecting a Suitable Decoration Method
Screen printing or pad printing may be considered for compatible products, depending on the material, print area, artwork detail and surface geometry. The method is confirmed for the selected item rather than offered as an interchangeable option across the entire range.
Base color also affects the appearance of printed colors. A logo approved on a white plate may look different on a darker surface. Material and color decisions should therefore be settled before the printed sample is approved.
Melamine products require a separate decoration review according to their manufacturing route. Their decoration process should not be treated as identical to thermoplastic printing.
Approving the Printed Sample
The sample review should confirm the actual product, base color, artwork size, position and printed appearance. Digital artwork establishes the layout, but a physical sample provides a more useful reference for judging the result on the selected surface.
Buyers should return consolidated comments before further sampling. Changing the logo, product color or print position after approval may require another sample and revised scheduling.
For new product structures, Sample & Mold Development should establish the product shape before final decoration approval.
Checking Decoration During Bulk Production
Production checks compare printed items with the approved sample. Inspection focuses on placement, legibility, color appearance, coverage, smudging and visible defects. Multi-color artwork also requires attention to registration between colors.
Any required adhesion, rubbing or washing checks should be agreed for the intended use before production. Dishwasher suitability, food-contact compliance and long-term print durability require product-specific evidence and should not be inferred from appearance alone.
The Quality Inspection page covers how decoration checks fit into the wider product inspection process.
Quotation, Lead Time and Packing Requirements
Printing costs and minimum quantities depend on the model, number of colors, printed area, setup requirements and quantity per design. Several logos within one order may need separate setups even when the underlying product is the same.
The production schedule is confirmed after artwork, samples and order details are approved. Packing must also account for contact between decorated surfaces during stacking and transport.
For a quotation, send the product reference, material, base color, artwork, print location, quantity per design, packaging requirements and destination. Include any required testing and delivery date so these can be reviewed before the order is scheduled.
