Start with an Existing Model or a Development Reference
Platvex Plasticware supports sample review and selected mold-development projects for plastic plates, bowls, cups, food containers and related dinnerware. This process helps importers, wholesalers and private-label buyers confirm product suitability before committing to bulk production.
We normally start by checking whether an existing model meets the required dimensions, structure and appearance. If a new size or shape requires tooling, we review it as a separate development project. Material, intended use, quantity and packaging requirements help establish the appropriate route.
Confirm the Specification Before Sampling
Send a product reference together with the dimensions that matter to your application. For plates, these may include outside diameter, depth, rim profile and compartment layout. For containers, the lid structure and fit also need review.
Material, unit weight, color, decoration and packing should be included where specified. Photographs help explain appearance, but they do not replace dimensions or a physical reference when precise matching is required.
Our custom sizes and shapes options distinguish existing-model selection from changes that require new tooling.
Review Existing-Product and Customized Samples
An existing-product sample lets buyers assess the model’s size, handling, surface and packing suitability. It may not represent the requested color, logo or final packaging unless those details have been specifically arranged.
Customized samples are prepared around the agreed changes for compatible products. The review should identify which details the sample demonstrates and which remain subject to confirmation.
Existing-product samples usually take approximately 5–10 days; customized samples generally take approximately 10–20 days. Timing depends on the request. Sample charges, freight and any development costs are confirmed separately.
Evaluate New-Mold Requirements
Selected new-mold projects can be reviewed from drawings, specifications or reference samples. We consider the proposed structure, material, dimensions and expected order quantity before confirming a development approach.
Thermoplastic and melamine products require different forming routes, so tooling decisions must match the selected material. A new mold is not treated as a routine color or printing adjustment.
Tooling scope, cost, ownership, maintenance responsibilities and development timing need agreement before work proceeds. Very small orders requiring fully customized tooling are generally unsuitable.
Approve the Production Reference
Before bulk production, confirm the applicable product specification, sample, artwork and packaging details. Approval should clearly identify the selected model and agreed version.
Dimensions, unit weight, color and visible decoration provide practical references for production checks. Packaging approval should confirm pack quantity, product protection and the agreed presentation; our custom packaging page covers these requirements.
Changes after approval may require additional sampling, revised costs or a new schedule.
Move from Approval to Bulk Production
MOQ is usually around 500–2,000 pieces per model and color, with the exact requirement confirmed by specification. New-mold projects require a separate quantity review.
Bulk production usually takes approximately 25–40 days after sample and order confirmation. This estimate does not replace a separately agreed mold-development schedule.
Production and packing checks follow the approved requirements. Buyers can review the scope of our quality inspection before confirming their order.
Send Your Sample or Mold Development Brief
Provide drawings, product photographs or a reference sample, material, dimensions, target unit weight, quantity, color, decoration and packaging needs. Include the destination market and any required food-contact testing.
We will review existing-model options or development feasibility, then confirm the information needed for quotation, sampling and approval.
