Match Material and Color to the Selected Product
Platvex Plasticware reviews material and color requirements for plastic plates, bowls, cups and food containers supplied to importers, wholesalers, private-label brands and foodservice buyers.
Our material range includes PP, PS, HDPE, ABS and melamine resin, depending on the product. These are model-specific options, not interchangeable choices for every item. We start with your selected model, intended use and order requirements before confirming a suitable material and color sampling approach.
Confirm Material Requirements Before Quotation
Send the product reference, required dimensions, target unit weight and intended application. Tell us whether the product is intended for single-use or repeated-use purchasing programs, together with the destination market and any required documentation.
Heating, washing and other performance requirements must be reviewed for the specific model. A material name alone does not establish the finished product’s suitability. Thermoplastic and melamine items also follow different manufacturing routes. If a requested material cannot be used with the selected model, we review suitable alternatives rather than assume a direct substitution is possible.
Material changes may affect appearance, weight, molding requirements and quotation. They should be confirmed before samples and packaging are approved.
Provide a Clear Color Reference
For custom colors, provide a physical color sample or a recognized color reference. Photographs and screen images can support initial discussion, but lighting and display settings can change how a color appears.
Specify whether the color applies to the whole product, a separate component or printed decoration. Body color and printing color require separate confirmation. For containers with lids, identify the required color of each part.
Surface finish, translucency and material can affect the appearance of the same reference color. We therefore review the result on the selected product rather than rely only on a flat color swatch.
Review Color Samples Before Production
Existing-product samples usually take approximately 5–10 days. Customized samples usually take approximately 10–20 days, depending on material, color and other project requirements. Sample charges and delivery arrangements are confirmed for each request.
During sample development and approval, review the product color alongside its surface appearance, dimensions and unit weight. Where matching several products is important, identify which items must be reviewed together. Different materials may not produce an identical visual result.
Approved samples and agreed references guide production checks. Changes to the material or color after approval may require another sample and a revised schedule.
Material Preparation and Bulk Color Checks
Before molding, material type, color or masterbatch and applicable preparation requirements are checked against the confirmed order specification. Our material preparation process supports production using the agreed material and color requirements.
Checks during production cover color, surface appearance, molding condition, dimensions and unit weight. When printed decoration is included, artwork and print appearance are reviewed separately through our logo and printing service.
Buyer-required third-party food-contact testing can be arranged after the product, material, destination-market requirements and test scope are confirmed.
MOQ, Timing and Information Needed
MOQ is usually around 500–2,000 pieces per model and color. Material selection, custom colors, printing and packaging can affect the final quantity and price. List quantities separately for each model and color.
Mass production usually takes approximately 25–40 days after sample and order confirmation, depending on the order details. Transport time is separate.
For review, send the product reference, material preference, intended use, dimensions, unit weight, color reference, quantity, packaging requirements and destination market. Include any required testing so we can confirm suitable options before quotation and sampling.
